I popped over to Bowers earlier this evening, to see what close season changes had been made.

 

Knowing what Colin had done at Bas Utd last season, I was not surprised to see the changes around the ground. i.e. Newly painted stands, improved toilets, a gym, refreshed pitch perimiter, improved dugouts etc etc.

 

What was a massive shock however, was the quality of the pitch. I know most pitches look great pre-season, but having seen Bowers' pitch every season for 20 years, I have to say the new pitch is outstanding.

 

The highest praise I can give it is that it compares with the Burnhambeau pitch at Leslie Feilds at it's finest.

 

It goes without saying that we will have to see how it stands up to a wet winter, but at the moment it looks the mutt's nuts.
