Anybody got the correct information on Chris Wild.

Chris did not play last night.

 

I was told, but it was not confirmed by the secretary, that he starts the season with a month suspension after getting sent off in a Sunday League final game.

 

It is also rumoured that he had an altercation with one of his team mates before the Hornchurch game.

 

No rumour yet confirmed and it is doubtfull that the second rumour ever will be.

You could always ask Sammy Winston, who also wasn't there last night. I doubt whether we'll being seeing much more of either of them.

I felt that Sammy got a degree of stick because of his physical form. In actual fact he was faster in a sprint than many a defender and always gave 100%. It is my view that he should have been given more opportunities than he had.

 

I contrast the way Sammy was often left out of the line up with the way that other forwards who were experiencing goal droughts were always picked regardless.

Which period are you relating to Steph last season or the current pre-season?

I like Sammy as a player too. I think he is intelligent and has a very good team ethic attitude. He does need to get fitter though and now in his early 30's (I think) it is harder. A decent squad player to have in ability and mind set.

When Sammy came on against AFC Hornchurch he looked a fair bit slimmer, sharp and had a great desire on the ball infact he was unlucky a few times not to score.

Don't know, only saying that they both played last night & of course Sammy scored one of the goals.
He looks much fitter than last season & has made an excellent contribution on the games I've seen him play in.
