Who Will Win?

Recommended Posts

every manager will face the same scenario as boro so im sure TF will not be worried as hel pick up players as he loses them!

And i say haringey on the basis that former cheshunt management are in charge and so expect/know a number of players have followed!

Dobber dont take this the wrong way :-) your mad.

Tok Manor top of the division and nowwhere in sight Holmer Green, Cockfosters, Hoddesdon Town, London Colney, New Bradwell St Peter and numerous other clubs, can you tell how you come to your top 3?

I wouldnt even bother predicting now way too early

A real question not looking for little digs.

Premier Division Winners Aylesbury FC or Chalfont St Peter
Relegated Welwyn Garden City/Hatfield Town/St.Margaretsbury.

Division 1 winners Hoddesdon Town FC.

TMFC have signed Lee Scott and a couple of other useful signings along with 4 or 5 other players they already had who should be playing in a higher division.they will start slowly but i cant see them losing a game after november time

Holmer Green,very weak last season(will be mid-table)

Cockfosters, again very weak young side (mid-table at best)

Hoddesdon, will be up there if their experienced players stay

London Colney, average side with no quality players (mid-table)

New Bradwell, might be dark horses due to their huge catchment area, with better management and stadium might be able to push for title but need better management.could even finish as high as 4th

OK from what I have heard from people who have seen Tok Manors pre-season games this year a lot needs to be done. They dont even have a manager at present or he cant be found!!

Lee Scott is where currently? So I doubt he has even put pen to paper and having not played in the SSML for over 2 years will one player have that much of an impact?! Now that you have told everyone people can prepare :-)

Holmer Green yes they were weak last season but they were in the Prem im sure they will be more than capable of been in the top 10 in Div 1.

Cockfosters were relegated from the Prem (only for grading) they survived comfortably in the Prem with their young but very good side. I'm sure with the comments here Cockfosters will look forward to playing Tok Manor early in the season.

Hoddesdon - I agree

London Colney - No quality players :-) Again im sure they will be glad to hear that

Tok Manor are now the team everyone wants to beat :-)

one player can have enormous impact in SSML div 1,look at the young hammond from royston

and shouldnt everyone want to beat everyone, isnt that the point of a league?

i only get my info from other people but i heard TMFC have a top experienced bulgarian manager who has been at every game and every training session so far this pre-season

Can I leap to the defence of my team here please?

Yes, Holmer were weak throughout most of last season, but once they convinced some of the local quality lads to come out of premature retirement, their record was pretty good, including victory at Biggleswade and a draw against Chalfont.

Indeed, the general concensus from outside of the club was that the team which finished the season was comfortably mid table standard.

Leading scorer Andy Shed has joined Windsor and a couple of others have moved up, but the majority of the squad have remained and we have a manager this season!

Don't think we'll set the competition alight, but a bit miffed that people consider the team that ended 08'09 to be weak!

And the fact Rhodes will be slagging everyone else off and bigging Tok up! Hoddy should be there or there abouts again, they have a couple of decent additions to last years squad. Not sure if they have enough to win it but I hope they do.

Wodson should be challenging again in Div 2, young squad another year older and stronger. Should have learnt a lot from last season, good football people at the club.

St Mags, I suppose that depends on which team end up playing! wink If it's Judgos side then I can't see that squad getting relegated, I assume ABC and Dobber think Gurns side are goingto be playing and know who the players are?

The Holmer manager is now Chris Allen who was coach last season.

Really decent, honourable bloke who knows his stuff and who previously managed Penn & Tylers Green during the years that they enjoyed some success in Hellenic One East.

Great spirit amongst the players, who have started their own website!

Main concern I have is availability during the opening weeks of the season, but I guess that several clubs at Div One level will have that problem for a while.
