Looking on thepfa.co.uk website there are some great players on frees, but on a more cost conscious level how about Peter Beadle from Bristol City or Ty Gooden from the Gills .

The rumour is that Gooden hasn't recovered from his injury and is only going to be able to play at Southern League level, maybe Ryman. He had an injury like Matt Holmes, off Charlton and West Ham fame, who now plays for Dorchester.

Saying that some of the loons on Canvey' site reckon he might be going there.

What about any of the charlton youngsters going?

Greg Sharland- Australian Striker

 

All are pretty decent on cm4 anyway! Probably all quite a way out of our money range anyway, just like are many other youths released from prem clubs at the end of season.

Speaking of Charlton players - Charlie MacDonald. Played a few first team games for Charlton then released last summer. He played a few games for Stevenage last season but they released him when moneybags turned up. Last I knew was that he was back training at Charlton just to keep himsled fit should an offer come along.

 

Has to be a better bet than three players not capable of getting into Charlton's reserves?? I remember him scoring a late equaliser in the Premiership for Charlton a year or two ago.

Both Andy Harris and John Martin at Leyton Orient might be worth consideration both have been given free transfers and both live in london. They have been regular first team players and have considerable experience. Might want too much money though.

If Margit can afford him - is there any reason why we coudln't, especially given the money undoubtedly freed up with Jimmy and Benno departing.
