JOB DESCRIPTION !!!!

Right then peeps I was always lead to believe that to be a Referee you had to have done numerous exams and have to complete and fulfil certain criteria within the (laughable) world of being an official at a football match.

I am now of the opinion however that any 2 cell brained idiot can and DID officiate both today and last tuesday. Not only did the Ref on Tuesday seem to not understand the ten yard rule (nor even try to enforce said rule) but was quite happy to let the linesmen do his job for him!. That aside the imposter calling himself a Referee at todays (Saturday) game should be absolutely ashamed of the atrocious and inept way that he "tried" to manage/referee said match. His awareness of the fact that this was only (and I say this loosely) a friendly/tin pot cup match was apparent because of his total failure to control and calm any of the players that were in PSF mode and trying to impress their respective managers. To say that he lost the plot is putting it mildly and I for one hope that he is not allowed to bring the game into disrepute at any other level other that Sunday League.... of which I also think he would be crap. Now whilst Im in RANT MODE I will point out that we all pretty much didnt agree with the penalty decision today and truth be known it was justice that we didnt score from the spot, however from a spectators standpoint this is the point of the match where "said" referee LOST IT big time. If you can justify (lost count here) 8 yellow cards for the Rams and 4 for the gate, something should tell you this is either a game of RUGBY and Im at the wrong venue or IM really losing control here and maybe I ought to hang up my boots and try BALLET!!

Whilst I agree that the ref was not the world's best,he was very "busy",stopped the game to much and some of his decicions were controversial,it should also be said that if players harass, intimidate and use abusive language towards a ref then they will get a yellow card. Most of the cards were for this reason.Unfortunately many managers feel that it is ok to do this and should be setting a better example to the players, and the supporters. One bye product of generally clamping down on this behaviour may be young ballboys not being abused so please think carefully before you disagree with me.

I was just replying to both post that sugested players were encouraged to intimidate the officials Alan. As I know for a fact players are not told or encouraged to do that at Ramsgate I naturally presumed they ment the opposing management team who played in the local derby.

3 of the players booked for decent were after the blantant dive by Blackman and was out of frustration. I for one watch non league football because of the passion and fairness most players up hold. Its unfortunate the ways of the premiership are now filtering down to this level. This was also just after Kieron Morris ran 40 yards to kick dolby up in the air and only got a brief talking to.

And im not sugesting TY and NS do either Just a twist on the previous post Alan. Wardy might rant and rave but he would not actively encourage his players to do it. Lets face it people from both camps have nothing better to do than slag each other off, Sad little human beings but if thats the only thing than have to do with their lives it keeps them off the streets.
