why was it not pointed out to the stewards on duty (guess they were there)at the time? That's what they are there for.... there are notices about foul language abuse etc all around the pitch so well in the clubs right to eject them from the ground!

Yes I am sure if somebody had heard it would have been done for sure. Shame as the vast majority of Ramsgate fans were fine and very well behaved.

same in all football I'm afraid whatever league from the Prem to the grass roots always the minority that spoil the fun for others. Pity about the young lad and I hope it don't put him off in retuning again in the future!

Well lets hope they were caught on Camera, and if known to us, im sure we will take action,..esp, if they turn up at Southwood, i feel they are just 4 troublemakers, that are not connected to our club,..as the majority of us were up the other end,proberly Alcohol related, and agree with Alan there cowards

yeah do think there are a few who never go to a game all season until a Mar-Rams comes up then just go to see/cause trouble and I mean both Margate and Ramsgate persons!

im glad this topic has come up because i had to be pulled away from what sounds like the same guys after they verbally abused my other half in the outside catering unit then when 1 of them decided it was highly hilarious to laugh and swear at me he said [****!!****] off you mug im only 14(which he didnt look tbh) your about 44 you [****!!****] idiot, this was mentioned to a steward and witnessed by quite a few people too believe me they made me so angry i could have easily give them a slap myself but as always they were allowed to stay and watch the game so first they abuse a 7 year old then a female worker and a 44 yr old lol(no im not) fan and STILL they were allowed to stay, one of these guys had a very bright yellow t shirt on right? i know its the same guys cause they were the only people out of the 505 present that had stinking attitudes if a fan complains about abuse and nothing is done how can we have faith in the stewards? i quite often take my 8 yr old and believe me if they ever abused him and nothing was done i myself would risk a ban to sort it myself.

In that case the stewards need looking at it seems. I know Peter is away on his holidays as I am sure he would have had a word with those involved, warned them, then turfed them out if they continued.

in all fairness alan one of the stewards told me he was only contacted an hour before the game and looked like colin was temp helping out too and others but even so isnt the key CONSISTANCY???

BF these guys were at the burger van behind me,i remmember them being noisy, and mucking about and givin it large , the van only had one fryer going, and i couldnt hear wot they said, as i waited for chips, but one of the staff, the older of the 2, told him to be patient, and they were generally being a pain,.... not sure if these are the same ones as caused problems for MB, as mentioned above, but can tell you they not Ramsgate fans, (well not geniune ones,) im gonna keep an eye out for them at southwood, and if they do turn out to be the same ones, i get it actioned that they get thrown out, ive never seen them at southwood before, and they were clearly trouble makers, spoiling for something im sure

yes rams60 that was them the 'older 1 of the 2' lol she loved you for saying that was my missus and i was the male helping out in there at half time def same guys i have to say i was told they were rams fans but had a feeling they were stragglers that turn up to derbys for nothing more than making tits of themselves usually when idiots like that start their little tantrums i normally ask them to name 4 players on their team and that usually mixes the brain cells up a bit and they stumble dont know why i didnt tbh

well i was the Rams Fan with me red hat BF, wiv the red wine in hand, and must say i gave a thumbs up after the match, to show we are human over the red side . yep these cowards it seems picking on women and kids (if same ones) some peeps need to learn manners, and be patient , hope your missis and her friend were ok, im sure they were,... good luck to you, must say i wander around the Margate end and met some nice folk, (ok they did try and get away and had no probs, but these few lads if they pick on a bloke would of come of worse, im sure

that does sound like the same one BF and ramsy recognises them as well then it looks like something will come out of it. I have reported the matter to our child protection officer and also to the office at margate and mentioned which steward is was by name.

 

I have also rung ramsgate and will email them too. I understand that this was an act carried out by complete mugs who are not true ramsgate fans. I thought it was a good atmosphere at the game until this happened. I have asked rfc to make an proper aplology to my son when we go and watch the game on saturday so lets hope it happens.

 

Thank you all very much for your kind messages and thoughts. My son is ok and im sure will continue to want to be a bb and come to the games.
