Poor game on the whole, against poor opposition. We weren't much better but probably shaded it over all. Robinson easily the best player on the pitch, and capped his performance with a brilliant goal (even if it did come off of someone else, in my eyes it was his goal). Didn't threaten much going forward - not convinced by Cory at all. Definitely showed how much we need Healy in the team IMO.

 

The most positive point to take from the game was probably that - for me - we never looked like conceding. Apart from the first 10 minutes of the second half, they never looked like threatening our goal. Credit obviously has to go to the defence - and, give him credit when it's due, Mullin did everything well that he had to do - but maybe some praise has to go Beech again. He seems to have the effect on the game that you perhaps don't always notice him but, sitting in front of the defence, he does a very good job. Should endeavour to sign him up.

 

Overall, drab game, but then derbies always are. As others have said, some shocking challenges and in a competitive game, probably would have seen at least one red for each side. Haven't decided whether I'll make the trip over on Saturday, but let's hope for a more entertaining game and, most importantly, no injuries!

I think Cory holds onto the ball and has a good head. He has a reasonable amount of pace too. IMO a better maturer player than Pratt and for a first game I thought he was ok. I'd like to see Cory at Margate again. I think Pratt lacks strength but has blistering pace. He's the sort of player you can bring on for the last 20 minutes who will terrorise tired defences. Overall I thought Ramsgate's passing game was better than ours however when we passed the ball on the floor, we looked good. I'd like to see more good passing football and less long balls from Margate.
