There is a bit of a debate on the scorer Geoff. Robinson cut inside a couple of defenders and his right foot shot went in but the way Blackman raised his hand he may have got a touch. Superb work by Robinson though.

The rest of it was, in my opinion, better than the recent league clashes. Margate had the best of the openings but Ramsgate raised their game at the start of the second half and hit the bar. At least three good saves from the Ramsgate 'keeper and I can't remember Pat being stretched at any point although he did snuff out a couple of one on ones.

The surprise part was David Cory starting for Margate.

The non-surprise part was the game losing it's friendly atmosphere in the second half. Robinson took someone out knee high. Three players clashed heads all going for the same ball. Wilson got clattered. Wilson clattered someone. Axon almost had his ankle broken. And there was more of the same.

Crowd was 505.

I don't think anyone picked up anything serious to be honest but a few may have had a bit of a knock that will not help this time of year with building up fitness for the season.
