Lawrence yiga

Not that too many care i guess, but i always thought he had potential to do well under the right management-i read that Yiga-after his nasty facial injury at fisher last season has had a recent trial at billericay.

I still think the guy with the right coaching would be just as good as the likes of Akpo Sodge and Akinde;and was sorry he ever left margate ( who can ever forget trotts immortal words-'i have'nt got time to coach him ' )

I reckon TY could do marvels with him and just the sort of biggish striker we need.

(Nej Hussein trialling at bishop stortford- super nice guy but useless goalie )

Think you're being a bit unfair on Nej Hussein there - he hardly got a look in during his one season with us, being second in line after Scott Ward, an Icelandic player who stayed very briefly and then Peter Trego. In fact the one game that I can remember him playing was against Hornchurch when Peter Trego got sent off and Rocky Baptiste was taken off to allow Nej to come on. I think then he had to face a penalty and that was about it.

He might not think you are a super nice guy if he reads your last sentence!

Never really saw much in Yiga. Had one half-decent game against weak opposition in the form of Whitstable in the cup. Other than that, I'll only ever remember him for somehow getting a multi-game ban - wasn't it 6 or 7 games or something? - after two sending-offs in two games. The second, after coming off the bench I believe!

Lawrence now co-owns his own fashion brand and clothing company company, along with former Redbridge, Concord Rangers and Dulwich Hamlet winger Andre Humphrey-Modeste. D-Visions Clothing... Google it if you're interested

Sorry Drummer, Nej was the sort of guy you'd want on the bench & only use in emergencies. He did have a few good games after Ward & Gottskalksson left, but I remember seeing him at Lewes, where he was all over the place - conceding seven (with 'sacked'Scott Ward laughing at the other end), which prompted CK to sign Trego at short notice.

Who was actually in goal at Lewes and for how long each if two players wore the jersey?

Frankly yes-but just wonder if he has been coached properly.

On what i saw of Akinde at margate-i never thought he would 'make it' and that similar in style, Yiga was better than Akinde -so got that one wrong big time ; but equally, always thought Akpo 'had something'- did'nt Akpo 'develop' quite late as well.I seem to remember hardly anyone else rated Akpo when he was at margate.

Maybe under the right person,Yiga could develop similarly-but does he actually want to do it-it won't work for him at any club unless he has the hunger within himself
