Hello Towners, a question for you...

 

I know our former player Ryan Edgar played for you last season, but did he finish the season with you? I just ask because he's been back playing for us during pre-season and wondered if he had come back to us straight from you or via another Club?

What about Reiss Noel, how do you guys rate him?

Good player from what I saw, but he got injured only a few games into his spell with us. From the few games I saw him play in, he can play centre half or right back, and has decent pace and positional awareness. Wouldn't have minded hanging onto him to be honest...

Beg to differ Barney; thought Noel was mediocre, and kept better players out of the right back position. Edgar, talented player though he was, blew more cold than hot, and will not be missed.

When he was good he was good but not often enough.

Like I say, I don't think I saw him enough to pass judgement, but the couple of games I saw him, he did well (or at least I thought so). At Brentwood, when Chris Wild was sent off, he slotted in at centre back, and played very well, and I'm sure there was at least one other game where he did OK (Chatham, perhaps?). That said, I'm sure you saw him more than I did, and I don't doubt he had some bad games as well - Im certainly not suggesting that he's better than Danny May, who I'd love to see in a Town shirt again this coming season...

Edgar's got the talent to play a step or two higher on his day, he just needs a manager that will have him motivated regularly.

Reiss Noel, In my view was an excellent player at our level and would have liked him to stay. He is only 19, and filled in for Wilds sending off at Chatham and was outstanding in the 9 man win v's Wingate before getting injured.

I agree that he could look good on his day but there was always better options at the club that he seemed to get the nod over.

I think Ryan planned to try his luck at Luton pre-season.
