That on CM4 I can be successful with any team in England apart from the one I want to be successful with...Chelsea!

 

I've started six different games and started off as Chelsea Manager in all of them, yet no matter what tactics I use, who I buy or play I can never put together a consistent run and always get sacked around January time!!!

 

Yet after that I can take control of any team and still do well no matter what League they're in or how much money they have.

 

A prime example is getting sacked by Chelsea in January and by May I had got Scunthorpe into the Div 3. Playoff Final!

 

Is it just me or are Chelsea a real hard team to be on that game? On 01/02 I was fine and winning everything! The Chelsea board expectations are on a par with Real Madrid plus their squad has too many players who don't do anything at Chelsea but soon as you sell them they turn into masters.

I have done alright with Chelsea in the past by just culling the players who flatter to deceive and keeping about 8 of the original squad.

Their reputation is good enough to attract people plus their wages are high.

I agree though they can appear to be a side that only the computer can get to play well.

Well it seems I've had a change of fortune on my game and am actually doing well with Chelsea for once!

 

4th in the League and currently about the play the 5th Round of the FA Cup against Rushden. Out of the UEFA Cup on an Away Goal <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

 

Made one signing and one loan signing for the Season - Marcos the Goalkeeper & Mista from Valencia respectively.

 

Actually found a line-up that works:

 

GK - Marcos

DR - Gallas

DL - Babayaro

DC - Desailly

DC - Terry

MR - De Lucas

ML - Gronkjaer

MC - Zola

MC - Lampard

FC - Hasselbaink

FC - Gudjohnson

 

SUBS: Melchiot, Petit, Stanic, Mista & Cudicini....

 

I'll probably say this now and then go and lose the rest of my games this season!!!

Yeah - I've always been confused by this - they always p[ut thi as a cheat in magazines, and i have seen it for CM$, yet it doesn't work... except for the original CM2...
