We are scheduled in to play Banstead at home, we are struggling to get hold of a contact to confirm this game as the original one has left the club, can anyone on here point me in the right direction please, additionally if any teams would provisionally like to replace Banstead if we fail to contact them by tonight like to PM me.

Thanks!

Anyone able to confirm if the Bookham ground (Chrystie Rec) is on the side of the main road going through Bookham (Guildford Road?)?

Friendly there tonight but was last there about 8 years ago so can't quite remember.

Cheers

Don't worry Brunty, they still share at the hallowed turf of Meadowbank!!!

We just played at their real home ground (where their ressies play) and it's a hell of a slope.......good hill running for pre-season though!!

I take it that the slope made a big difference to you as a keeper and having 5 goals put past you then Jurg.

"Dorking played out their 3rd consecutive drawn match on Tuesday night against a Leatherhead XI.

Dorking started the game very strongly and completely dominated the first 20 minutes of the game. After 5 minutes, Alex Hill gave Dorking the lead from a well placed free kick and this was soon followed up by a great strike from Dan Clayton, hitting home from about 25 yards. 2 -0. Dorking then created several good chances including a free header for last seasons top scorer Phil Page but this drifted wide of the far post. Leatherhead started to get more into the game later in the first half without really troubling the home defence but reduced the deficit when their Captain smashed a bullet of a strike past Dan Coote from the edge of the box after a corner was only half cleared.

Half Time 2-1.

Dorking made 11 changes at half time and this did disrupt the momentum but the half was competitive with neither side really taking control. Both sides created chances in the second half without really testing either goalkeeper but it was Leatherhead who grabbed the equaliser after a good passing move on the left hand side allowed a good finish past the diving second half keeper Ben Simpkins.

Overall, a good second run out for the squad as they build to the 8th August."

(Apologies for the delay in posting JR.)
