Barking 1 Grays X1 1

Good run out for the Blues, both teams kept ball well and tried to play football. Some improvements made to Barking ground and things looking brighter for the current season.

Liked the look of Barking keeper second half and surprised not mentioned for best ESl keeper. On the small side but quick off the line and great distribution, few scouts looking at him today and

home side could find it hard to keep him. Reminded me of that dimutive keeper from Burnham but much more secure on crosses.

New boy on left, think he came from Aspa, not unlike the guy with dreadlocks who played for Burnham and Romford but with a goal threat on top, could be one to look out for.

No sign of Jenko, Barking warm up using more than 4 cones so presume not on coaching staff as per rumours.

Will be interesting to see how Barking perform against Ryman 1 North outfit Waltham Forest next tuesday.

Alright Jenks how's it going, taken me nearly a year to hack back in but seems to be working now.

Haven't heard of this Jerry Lyons, thought the player i was talking about was called Remi Nelson, great left foot and huge throw so can't realy understand the confusion.

Thanks for offer to help out this year, will speak to the Catering Manager and get back.

Missed the mac and fedora but did see Jenko's old pal Jamie Warren disguised as a Grays coach. Had a good chat, was telling me how Jenko still rings him and his mate, think he was called Martin, for coaching advise.Good to see ex coaches networking in that way.
