Slough Town 0-1 Hendon (Hillingdon Final)

Must say now we've had a few games now and I think we look OK ahead of the new season. This time last year I was a little worried, but I think we'll be OK from what we've seen and players who are yet to come in that have been missing from our games thus far.

My one concern though is the striking depeartment. Fine at the back and in midfield but were not creating a lot up front. With Platty going, Sippetts out till Christmas and DJ seemingly used as a midfielder by Bates now I think were in desperate need of a striker or two. Yes we have Yash who will score goals, Gumbsy who will do a decent job but is more of a targetman and won't play every game - and the untried Dean Sinclair who will take time to adapt at this level.

So I'm hoping Bates can get someone in before the start of the season.

Have to echo Chris on his comments, we looked a bit light in the final third after Hendon scored otherwise all else seems fine, though i felt both sides were in 3rd gear.

There was a couple missing again today and I'm sure today wasn't the stongest side.

We'll be fine this year.

Definitely looking light up front. Don't think we would have scored today if we were playing all afternoon based on what I saw.

Perhaps DJ will find his form from 2 seasons ago but he was in positions today where I thought he could have had a shot, but chose not to.

The good thing is we now look to be scoring elsewhere in the team, which might be able to keep us going until Sippetts returns.

Any news on Ian Brown's injury?
