Emergeny talks are being held to save Ryman League Division One North club Harlow Town after its parent company was threatened with closure over unpaid tax bills.

 

HM Revenues & Customs has filed a petition which seeks to wind up the business for debts totalling

sad news even if i dislike harlow because they beat us,they have a good tradition including beating leicester in the fa cup in the 70's

Hope they will be ok as i do quite like their ground

On a serious note...the customs bods did say they were going through football clubs with a fine tooth comb and if you don't pay your taxes.. well, you know the rest..

Dont we just love those tax people..........maybe they can give our troops somemore kit, or better still bring them back, I'm sure ther must be a few good non league players amongst them........

All the signals coming out are that we'll be ok but you never know in these situations. Certainly it's business as usual and contractors are still working on our carpet of a pitch.

 

Should the worst happen I believe it's quite fasionable to put an AFC in front of your name nowadays. Isn't it?

 

Always seems to guarantee a few promotions afterwards too!
