Bright Future at the Bridge - and that's official!

I'm just pleased to hear some positive news about the club, even if it isn't all finalised yet, and 5 years gives us the chance to build up the club gradually. It's not like we're looking for overnight sucess.

Maybe the two gentlemen concerned would consider running an 'unofficial' website. Lots of clubs do this and 'unofficial' sites run by the fans don't work under the same constraints that 'official' websites do - so they can express views more graphically and publish content which may not be appropriate on 'official' sites. Maybe an 'unofficial' site would also be a good outlet for the AFCH Supporters' Club? Just a thought.

I have spoken to a few people regarding this thread.

Firstly welcome back sidders, your work before was great and we have the best website in the league imo

As the website hadn't been updated since the end of the season the supporters club decided that kimble (who had shown an interest in doing this once sid originally stepped down) was going to update and run the website,we didn't tell colin as we believed he was too busy with other stuff like running the rest of the club single handed for the last few weeks,we have been trying to get codes for the website off ian for a couple of weeks but this has been hard as ian is busy setting up something else which is time consuming.Because of the website not being updated colin decided to speak to sid and got the great man back!!

While the supporters club at the moment can help out with bits and pieces if new owners want to change anything then they are willing to do so.Having a succesful and working website is important for information terms to the hundreds of fans who don't use this forum so colin got sid back.

Ap;ologies to kimble,i have spoken to him and we will have a supporters club website which he will run and he may be getting involved in something else for the club along similar lines.

As for all the negativaty about the club, yes ok we don't know who owns the club but it looks like someone will very soon so how about all getting behind the club instead of moping around feeling sorry for ourselves, slagging the club off just makes us look silly,we could have a very bright future ahead of us if the rumours are true

A few more snippets from HQ ...

Elliot Styles has put pen to paper and will play for us this season. Colin will see more of the lads tonight and obtain their signatures.

The kick-off time for the Eastbourne game is 7.45pm The Eastbourne website shows 7.30pm but Colin has confirmed 7.45pm is correct.
