Bright Future at the Bridge - and that's official!

After a very positive and informative telephone conversation with Colin I can report that the future is bright at Bridge Avenue. All the doom mongers got it seriously wrong and as you read this Colin and his team are working on a five year plan to get AFC Hornchurch into the Conference National (FACT not fiction).

For the past weeks Colin has worked tirelessly to secure the future of our Club (at not an inconsiderable personal expense too) and has worked miracles. He needs all the help he can get and to this end I have accepted his invitation to carry on as AFCH Webmaster. It may take a while to blow off the cobwebs but the site will be up and running as soon as possible.

Season Tickets will be available at the Eastbourne game. It is likely that prices will be held at last year's levels but this will be confirmed shortly.

It will be a very challenging season as we start the campaign on minus ten points. However, if sheer guts and hard work is all that is required to get us into the play-offs then Colin and the lads will surely get us there!

The cloud of uncertainty has lifted. The future's bright - The future's red and white!

Up the Urchins!

welcome back sidders.

bemused has a point though - are we officially in administration now hence the 10 point deduction or are we still vunerable from debts that evil fans such as myself have wrought upon the club?

Has Colin taken on the ownership of the club then ? and have we gone in to administration ? I was under the impression that we had avoided that ?

not brilliant communication is it?

maybe sid could give them a call and they can all help out? sid did say it was quite time consuming so i'd have thought that the more the merrier, always good to have some fresh ideas too.

Bad communication indeed - and news to me. Was Colin aware of this as it seems strange he specifically called me to ask if I would carry on as Webmaster. If there are others who would like to take over then I will gladly stand down. I will call Colin tomorrow to discuss. Obviously, as we are talking about the 'Official' Club website the decision of Webmaster appointment must rest with the Club.

Lets not all get carried away. It would be nice for the ink to be dry on the relevant documents transfering ownership from A to B. It would be nice for the ink to dry on the documentation putting the club into administration and putting the club out of harms way from other creditors. It would be nice to go down the club tonight and celebrate everything being rosy atdown the Bridge. Until all the relevant documentation is signed sealed and with the people concerned so that the club can carry on, every thing is not nice.

Glad that your going to survive Sid, but the above bit worries me. We have heard so many clubs come out with that over recent seasons only for someone with the wrong motives to lead those clubs to a bad place.

Whatever your goals are, it must be done with economic viability and by people who have genuine interest in the club.
