Molten Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division club Brimsdown Rovers have made five significant signings ahead of Tuesday`s friendly with Essex Senior League side Takeley.

Assistant boss Kevin Dear confirmed to nonleaguedaily that the Goldsdown Road club are delighted to have secured the signatures of striker Rikki Burbridge (right) who played at Ryman Premier level with Billericay Town last season and was the subject of attention from a number of clubs before plumping for the Middlesex outfit after discussion with chairman Gary Brooker.

Also signed are three players formerly with Waltham Abbey, two of which - highly-regarded central defender Jordon Bostock (pictured above) and influential midfielder Marc Sontag - were instrumental in helping Abbey to achieve promotion last season via the play-offs, with defender Sam Underhill returning after taking time out from the game for a year.

Also checking in at Brimsdown is former Ware and Harlow Town player Paul Burton. Another quality addition, Burton played his full part in Ware's run to the FA Cup First Round two seasons ago and will offer guile in the middle of the park.

Dear was fulsome in his praise for his chairman`s efforts in securing these impressive signings, which would notably strengthen Rovers` existing squad for the coming season.

According to the W/Abbey site, Jordon was released by "Mutual Consent". Though, surprised about Marc Sontag leaving.
