Once again, the club is screaming out for a Commercial Manager - pity they need one first to advertise the post.... frown

I think you will find there will be plenty about the game in Fridays local, plus it has been advertised outside the ground for quite a while.

I would go for a director who concentrates on selling, this way there are no wages to pay. Its a shame Terrance Painter left as he was doing a good job

OK, maybe not a direct Commercial Manager job but someone to 'sell' the club and raise funds. I don't believe we had this problem during the 70' and 80's (excusing the 'Thanet Utd' period!). I am biased though as my dad was commercial manager back then and he worked bloomin hard for the club!

Quite right.

Should be " girl " if you're drinking a tart's drink.

It's interesting how other non league websites have regular updates. I think Dover Athletic's site is superb. Regular weekly updates and interviews. Loads of sponsorship on the homepage. They advertise the centrespot for wedding functions, whats on at the centrespot, they advertise sponsorship oportunities, Player profiles and much more. Its all there for all to see.

I see no advertising of sponsorship on our MFC's home page. MISA news should be on the front page on the website. Regular interviews form the managers and playing staff even memories from the likes of Southall and Yorath. How about promoting the 5 a side better and the club house for hire.

May I just add that this is not a dig at wellsie or anyone that does things on the site that volunteer. It is a constructive comment and it really frustrates me when the club need money at this stage and most of the function advertising comes through this forum where the impact is minimal.

Right now looking at the site.

Sell the club to potential sponsors by using the site as an additional feature of a sponsorship package. The site at the moment only sells advertising boards and pages in the programme.

There is alot of empty space on the Margate FC site and much of it is wasted. Space is money!!!!!!

The Club need to use the site to its maximum ability.

Where does it say on the site that there's a 5 a side tournament coming up at the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Must react to that GT. Yes, Dover do have good website, but they have the weight of Gomez IT behind them. As for Ramsgate's, sorry, but I don't agree. Ours is much more informative in terms of games, stats, interviews etc. I would agree that we don't use it enough to promote for example MISA events. And I would like to see some (but not too much) advertising and sponsorship.

Having said all that, I guess some people might generally prefer the layout and content on Ramsgate's website. I'm not one of them and I continue to believe that ours stacks up against our league rivals pretty well.
