yeah decent work out and a few goals all helpful preparation for the start of the season proper

like always a lot of questions being asked amongst the fans over who is that and who is he etc but im sure the official site will clear most of that up later on

3 good goals and 3 slightly "comical" goals. Edgeworth good free kick, stunning attacking run and finish by Mo from the youth team and a lovely chipped goal though the keeper could or should have saved it by i think Steve Sinclair's brother(?)

Some good football to watch, especially the first half and beginning of the second half.

I thought Robbie Kean, Steve Sinclair and Paul Edgeworth looked class acts, also a good debut from Phil Turner and Mo Sharif who someone said is only 16?

Ok, the opposition were a few divisions below us, but it was an encouraging start to the pre-season friendlies.

Bit of a shame that at present we don't even know the name of the player who scored a second half hat-trick.

Just a thought but would it be an idea for whoever is going to do the report on the game to get this info of SB so that a more accurate report can be made.

I must stress this is not a critisism just a suggestion.

I also heard that Herron has Swine Flu but should be ok to play on Tuesday and a rather pathetic excuse for Ian Brown that he is a Postman and had to work. No word on the other missing players but I do know that they were not at Training when I paid a visit.

Players do change their minds for one reason or another so don't be surprised if not all of them start the season at Slough.

well Brown seemingly played for St Neots friday night but don't mean he won't play for us still this season. if the keeper on Saturday was 15 like i heard he did a good job but cannot be a keeper in the league yet

thinking about it i also heard Sweeney was working but should be around on Tuesday. just if there is not many more to come into the squad in preseason we are still a little bit short currently of numbers but a 1 or 2 of the trialists looked fairly useful

Ian Brown was a sub for St Neots in their friendly against Luton. Not sure if he actually played or not. Maybe because he was working he thought he would get a game in? Who knows.

Harper was at a wedding I was told.

It is only pre-season, and the first game of pre-season at that. Players will come and go. I'd wait until the first game of the season to be sure of what players we have!

Brown played a full second half for St Neots. They are playing a Peterborough X1 this Wednesday so we'll see if he turns out for us on Tuesday.

Also, has anyone seen or heard anything about Jon Stevenson or Tyron Sealey? have they been seen at training?

As you say Tom, it is only pre-season and some Players will be Training/playing with other clubs especially if they think their place in the team is under threat.

Just found this,

Barnet took over as Nationwide Conference leaders after ending Canvey Island's unbeaten start to the season with a 1-0 win against the Essex boys. Dean Sinclair, the former Norwich player, fired past Danny Potter in the 27th minute.

Sinclair's second goal in three days gave his manager, Paul Fairclough, the satisfaction of looking down on the rest of the league for the first time since his initial stint with Stevenage.

Dagenham & Redbridge, the overnight leaders, slipped to fifth place after suffering their first reverse against the other Conference new boys. Charlie MacDonald's fourth goal of the season set Crawley on their way to a 2-0 win.

Woking finished with nine men against Aldershot but only conceded the winner in the last minute to former Welsh international Darren Barnard. He curled in a shot from the edge of the area to give the visitors a 2-1 victory.

Steve Ferguson drove Woking into a 10th-minute lead but either side of the equaliser, headed in by Tim Sills, the hosts had Scott Cannon and Justin Richards dismissed. That took Woking's tally of red cards over the past three games to four.
