Newsflash folks, I understand that Southill Alexander lost 7-2 earlier today to a Cheshunt XI at Theobalds Lane

It was a good runout against a strong Cheshunt side. It was in fact a Cheshunt 1stXl, because as we all know their reserves have gone elsewhere. The extra quality & fitness of The Ambers told in the end, but it didn't help being let down by a keeper at 9pm last night, not ideal especially when you've got a 12pm KO. Still the rest of the 17 man squad got a game & there are lots of positives though to take into Wednesday's game at London Colney.

Watched Waltham Abbey beat Brimsdown 4-0 this afternoon, wasnt too pleasing on the eye, was played on the smallest pitch ever (wasnt much grass on it either!) which ruled out any chance of any flowing football, both sides must have used over 20 players each, Abbey ran out comfortable winners, 2 goals in each half

Thanks for the update, I understand that London Colney beat Langford 1-0 this afternoon at Cotlandswick and were excellent value for that win.

Dave - I take it Craig Hammond got both goals, I see that AFC Sutton Town are a Nottingham based Club so I expect you arranged the game through someone you know at work

not sure Dave would be able to do that.

It's a shame that a certain young keeper has signed for Bowers & Pitsea otherwise he might have been considered by Southill Alexander although the travelling to Bedfordshire from darkest Essex would have taken its toll on family life.
