The worst part about it was the fact they sold out of burgers

Did Baby Keeps play, I expect he kept the score down but even he will have his work cut out against Grays on Tuesday.

A report from this one on another's Forum, interesting comment about London Lions applying to join the SSML next season:

London Lions 0 Welwyn Garden City 1
Herts Charity Shield 1st Round.

Upon arriving at Rowley Lane I was rather surprised to find no goalposts up on tne main pitch. Although the pitch looked in good condition no-one had marked it out etc.The game actually took place on the adjacent 3G pitch but not until a previous game had finished first.Eventually we kicked-off at gone half past three and thankfully WGC scored deep into injury time in the second half which saved extra time and penalties!
A London Lions official said they are going to play at St. Albans this season and plan to play in the Spartan South Midlands League the following season although the logic of leaving a perfectly good ground while still playing in the Herts County League baffles me!!
At least there was no admission for this match!

Toks did us a huge favour indeed coming to Creasey Park yesterday, we would have thanked them ourselves but they all shot off straight away, so please pass on our thanks to all involved. Second half we gave some players I've never seen a run out so it was a good exercise from our point of view. Thanks again

Well I assume he will be between the sticks at the Len Salmon Stadium on Tuesday evening, it will be like the Alamo for ninety minutes I would have thought

Rhodes, your reputation as a reliable source of information - albeit tarnished - has taken a hammering the last two weekends!

to be played at Viking Sports Ground, Western Avenue Park, Perivale, Greenford UB6 8GA

Royals26 - Thanks for taking the trouble to do that research, at least it looks like Hampton & Richmond won't be leaving us high and dry on Tuesday as they did with Dunstable Town on Friday night.

HAREFIELD UTD 5 - 0 BEDFONT GREEN

interesting game tonight couple of regulars missing and some new blood introduced. Bedfont never rearly troubled the hares, and except for 3 chances in the first half never looked like scoring.

got exiciting near the end when the ref couldnt identify the bedfont players who were involved in a handbags scuffle with 5 minutes to go and he decided to walk off and end the game.

anyway 5 -0 against a suppossed higher level team doesnt sound to bad and it should have been more.

Tokyngton Manor 0 Hampton & Richmond 2

Where shall I start, Tokyngton Manor put up a superb showing this evening against a classy and lightening quick Hampton & Richmond outfit and must have raised one or two eyebrows in Conference South circles. Having trailed to a clinical first half strike shortly before the interval Manor conceded a late spot kick having enjoyed the lions share of the second period to go down 2-0.

Hopelessly outclassed by a higher step club Clifford? You must have been desperately disappointed.

Lions share you say. I look forward to H&Rs match report. Don't suppose it will say anything different from your highly balanced reporting. Good job.
