Have you heard anything with regard to players leaving us. Obviously Gilkes retired from the coaching staff but I was wondering who has left.

 

I've heard that Ricky Browne (no real surprise) Byron Bubb and Dean Palmer have all gone but obviously don't have any clarification on that. Has Roy said anything?

I understand the majority have been asked to report back for pre-season training and they are keen to do so. As for the players you mention - I think that's dependant on whether Steve Browne is with us next season or not.

Going from that then, have you any idea who the minority would be, i.e. who have we let go

Hasn't the Steve Brown situation been resolved yet

 

After comments and actions by all parties concerned I would have thought that he would have decided not to report back

Until the sod is installed as manager elsewhere (Aylesbury would be good for a laugh) or I pysically see a new man in charge I'm certainly not taking it for granted regarding Brown as manager for next season. Given he and Deaner are from the same pod (the one the dog pissed on in the garden) I wouldn't be at all surprised if both are still around next year

Earlier in the year I upset a number of supporters ( I posted as Dolphin) about Veli Haki ( hope the spelling is correct ).

 

The conclusion was that I lost track of the situation and we all admitted to over-reacting over the postings.

 

So , if I get the apology in first S O R R Y For any offence - but will the player be back at SLough or is he a free agent , as he is a quality player and solely needed.

too many ifs and buts. I would gladly have Veli back at the club and I'm sure he would like to come back too, especially as the club stood by him. But there again it was also Browne standing by him, who brought him to the club and his mate Deano from Dulwich. Would her prefer the Rebels or Mr Browne wherever?

Veli was a good friend of Dean and was largely responsible for bringing him to the club, but Dean is now working for Steve Browne I think, if not for then certainly closer with, so he will follow him wherever he ends up.

 

I have the full list of players who have been contacted about a return, but in fairness to them and other players who read the forum, I'd rather not say who has and who hasn't. Let's just say, all those that have been contacted are players worthy of the cause and would provide more than a good enough foundation were they to agree terms for next season. (Veli has been included in this...)

 

BFR - Browne, Bubb and Palmer would all be very unlikely to return next term, contacted or not, as their links are with Steve Browne more than the club.

Losing Deano would be a big blow. He's been an unsung hero on many occasions last season.
