LLoyd Blackman (Pt 2)

I Yourthanet (cannot be to post link) is reporting that Lloyd is our first signing and Dan Stubbs is the only player from last season (who was invited) that has not returned to training.

Well they wouldn't have helped for sure ITH, but no its slightly more than that, a real shame as that lad gave his all in every game.

Looks like a good signing, doesn't look like a natural goal scorer and from what i have read about him he likes to operate from more of a left wing position.

 

Only saw Stubbs play twice both times i was quite impressed with what I saw apart from the odd wasteful pass.

Judging from TY's comments in yourkent it seems that DS wanted a wage rise and TY said no.

Are we certain that Stubbs has gone and Blackman has arrived ?

 

I think i'll wait official confirmation of both 'events';particularly at this time of year ,when players are always on the look out for last minute 'better offers'

 

Unless he has actually signed for someone else, could it be that we will still see DFS in a 'Gate shirt which i would welcome ?

Yes Stubbs has gone Michael. As for Lloyd all I can say is that he was at training other night so hopefully is signed.

I'm sure you are right, but simply going on the press article that i read ,it states that Blackman has 'agreed terms ' (which is totally different to actually signing )and TY is quoted as saying that DS has not signed and is thus not in his thoughts at the moment.

stubbs no loss at all easy to replace , he will not get any more money at another club therearetoo many better playersout there

Do we also have have potentially another 'new' player in Corbishley as he was injured so much last season that his on field contribution was minimal; yet he could make quite a difference.

Of course-he's got to want to sign in the first place ,and do i recall that TY said he had to prove his fitness ?

 

Different style of player obviously, but for me, i'd happidly see Corbishley on the right of a 5 man midfield than Peters. (assuming TY goes 3-5-2 again as his favoured formation )

Seems to give us better shape and balance to me

I think you are right Micheal, a fully fit Corbs to me would be an asset. He is unafraid of taking on defenders as we have seen in the past. Here is hoping he can get fully fit.

I think its a shame if it is true that Stubbs has gone, He impressed me at every game i saw him play in and I really dont think that TY will gain anything from not signing him. However, having not seen much of Corbishly last season, i cant comment on him.

 

Do we have an actual list of "signed" players now?? Seeing as the first pre-season match is, yes, wait for it, next Friday!! im so excited, have missed football lol
