Lloyd Blackman joins 'Gate

According to the Maidstone United forum Lloyd Blackman has signed for Margate.

I'm pretty sure that he played in the game against Erith & Belvedere at Welling.

Correct on both counts I think. Looked decent in his 45 minutes at Deal, and scored at Erith. I think many of us were hoping we'd sign him instead of Power and indeed this was mentioned quite a bit during the season. Blackman did quite well for Maidstone last season it seems.

Interesting points raised re: Stubbsy. Would be a shame to lose him IMO: always guaranteed 100% from the lad. Wonder if we could hear his point of view from ronks?

Would be a pity if DS did not sign,as we would then need two midfield players.

 

The most important thing to me in that article however is that 'everyone else 'has signed,so i assume that includes Dan Young who surely is the most essential to the cause.

 

I hope we get early official confirmation of that being the case

Lloyd will definately help. 11 goals not great but then Maidstone did not score many. In fact they were poor when we played them at Sittingbourne.

Sounds promising -i'll wait until the official confirmation just the same-difference between leaving one club and signing for another.

 

I think we saw the Lewis signing fall down that black hole four months ago-Is there history/mischief making between Maidstone and margate when it comers to signing players.

 

I'm convinced Blackman is more of a link player than a striker just the same ,and certainly not a target man

He certainly played up front for Maidstone though Michael, in the games I watched anyway.

But the article doesn't say that everyone else has signed, merely just that everyone else has come back and been training with the club.
