Stadium Plans

This is great obviously but two questions:

1) Which plans were approved? With or without the WW?

2) What exactly is the next step? i.e. what has to happen before demolition and new bricks start being laid?

The principle of the deal was agreed tonight, with the Cabinet being very supportive. No opposition voiced at the meeting, and Councillor Christine Small (Kedermister) was particularly enthuisiastic about the scheme.

It is a decision in principle only, and now more detailed proposals are hammered out, contracts will need to be signed, planning permission obtained etc, and the position of the West Wing sorted etc, but everyone is onboard, have agreed it is feasible and desirable and have decided it should progress.

This has to be the most positive summer for years on and off the pitch.

I think the change behind the scenes has done the club the world of good, well done to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still gonna wait till the first brick is cemented in before really being happy, but the vibe for the new season will be an extra boost!

Sorry but I am worried!

Where is all the close season doom and gloom? Where are all the problems of not knowing where we will play? Where is the problems of money? Where is the lack of knowing who will be wearing the amber and blue? Where is the lack of uncertanty about our future?

This is the first season where the above are not issues, It just goes to show what has been done and how the club is moving forward.

Saturday is the first pre-season game and what more positive message to give the players than we are coming home and there is now something real to play for. excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited excited

Fantastic news for all Rebels everywhere. It's been a long road, but for once there is genuine positivity about the club and the direction it's going in.

Congratulations to all those involved who have got us to this point.

Wonderful evening Steve's presentation was brilliant and as for the lady called Chrissy she was a star. I think around four people made comments after Steve's speech and all of them were positive and supporting the new ground.

Well done everyone.

Sorry Graham a bit late but Happy Birthday.
