He had our whole forward line in his pocket.

To be fair,last season i only watched about one in three games.Maybe McCoy just had an average game everytime i went,and then played great in the games i missed?? I heard reports that he had a spell of three or four really good performances,but they were followed by the same amount of non discript displays.

 

For me,he lacked fitness.Especially in the first half of the season..Highligted by the fact that many times in midfield he seemed to just be content with jogging about on the edge of the action rather than getting close enough to influence the play,either in an attacking or defensive role (I came to that conclusion having closely monitored his movement and field position during a couple of games)..When his fitness improved and he moved to the back four,he did start to look like a better player.
