loyal to Steve Browne rather than a club but still loyal.

Some people like to know where ex-players go and wish them luck and thank them for their time with the club, So yes we do care!

McCoy did nothing at our level to suggest he was too good for it.If you watched him closely he spent most of the game jogging casually about (just out of contact with where the play was going on)..looked comfortable on the ball, but never bust a gut or hurt the opposition whilst in his midfield role. His height and presence was his biggest plus point.

I disagree. He looked a class apart in a defensive midfield role. Always had time on the ball, very rarely wasted a pass and broke up play very effectively. Did his job very efficiently and made precious few mistakes. I often watched him closely and I'd rather have someone jogging about, knowing his role than a headless chicken tearing about midfield achieving very little.

But then again football's all about opinions!

A player with time to jog along is normally the one with the ability and positional sense while a player rushing everywhere is normally the one with no positionally sense and will dive in with poorly timed challenges but if that's what you want then it is useless complaining about them gaining endless cards.

It dont happen very often but I find myself disagreeing with LS.......well other than the yellow strip evil but I thought Nick McCoy was probaly one of the best players ever to pull on a Town shirt, very cool, calm & always played the simple pass, or made the pass look simple, agree with Bru regarding the jogging, think of the old pro's yo have watched over the years, Steve Terry certainly never had any pace but his positional sense meant he didnt need any, remember Stuart Nethercott playing for Wivenhoe a couple of seasons ago? He had our whole forward line in his pocket.

Anyway good luck to both.

I always thought Billy Goldstone was a great example big and slow but always in the right place and one of my favourite players of all time.

I was thinking more of the defender who was a pain in the neck when we played against him over the years but he was still a quality player for us just remember the stunning free kick move at Worthing.
