Although, on paper, we are assembling a team of tried and trusted players of premier division quality, we are doing this within a budget that should be sustainable for the foreseable future.

I don't think this is the same with Burnham.

How long will they be able keep shelling out money whithout any return?

The Beaconsfield mercenaries (including Jarvis) will then leave and Burnham will have to start from scratch.

Hey Reading Rebel, you really are a card! jester.gif jester.gif

I forwarded your post on to a couple of the Burnham Committee and we did have a laff! Jamie says Hi! by the way.

They said since you know such a lot about what they are going to do with the budget, perhaps you could publish a few tips? We can't wait! money.gif money.gif money.gif

It's a waist of time giving a bunch of fools any tips because they have obviously decided to fritter their money away on a lost cause.

Nobody goes into football to make a profit! As far as i know there is not been a public decleration of intent as to the future so let Burnhams one or two fans enjoy the ride in silence!

Plse enough of Burnham...

we have things to sort out our selves ....I have posted a few articles on Ground help at Beaconsfield , that need attention , yet all I keep hearing is about Burnham , no disrespect but I don't want to hear or read about what Burnham are doing ..if they want, then plse go to there web site...

Now please take this on board ..if we dont get any rain before Saturday , it maybe that we need plenty of you to come over to Beaconsfields ground with your buckets and watering cans - the pitch needs water and only the efforts of Slough supporters will this get done..no good hiding away ..we need some serious help...

or as I said before get praying...

cheers chris sliski

To give the grass a chance you need to put down about a 1/4 inch of water, on a pitch of 100m x 50m, this is 31.5 cubic meters of water or 31,500 litres.

If an average 2 gallon watering can holds around 9 litres then you need 3,500 cans of water.

This will then need to be done several times this week due to the weather causing high levels of evapouration.

The reality is that the owners of the pitch, Beaconsfield SYCOB need to invest in a industrial type sprinkler system to get that volume of water onto the pitch.

Burnham and Windsor fanbase, very similar apart from a few behind the goal at windsor and i'm sure burnham dont really want that kind of support.

thanks for those good suggestions , will see ...but clive the aras that need to be waterered at the moment are the areas where we put top soil and grass seed ..not the whole pitch..the spitch is getting some water of course...but not enough in this draught...

maybe if some of you would like to come down saturday , if no rain and we will show you what we need,

we tend to get therea bout 10 to 10-30am..

hope for some rain..in the mean time...

cheers chris

tks to andrew for good suggestion ...
