Though it pains me to say it, Smalldog would have to be right up there.

 

Past legends would have to include Paul "Denno" Dennis.

I thought the lad who played in goal for Bowers at Mill Field last season was rather impressive..... Needs to swat up on the back-pass rule though..

Young Steve Brown, only 19. Bowers signed him from Basildon Town. He'll be on Aveley's books next season with a loan back to Basildon Town agreement.

 

That back pass incident was unfortunate, the ball was played back to him and it hit a bobble and popped up, Steve flicked his arm out in a reflex reaction and got done for it. Harsh but fair.

The two that I saw that really impressed me were Sam Tanner (formerly with Leyton) at Stansted and Nick Wilson (formerly Redbridge and Wivenhoe) at Eton Manor - both should be playing higher. Obviously Finn at Romford was very good as well. But they've gone up.

Sam is a top keeper and great lad.....think his height would go against him after Step 4

Smallsy is indeed the best 5-a-side keeper ive seen. Was unbelievable on Sunday night.

Think about it - I played right back last year and we finished 4th...he was a busy boy..!!
