As both the home and away kit consists of blue shorts, does this mean that if we play a team wearing blue shorts we have to change

our shorts to another colour? Seems a bit odd that we will be

using two sets of blue shorts? (I recall we have had to wear white shorts in the past)

The shirt clash is the key thing between teams. Whilst shorts can still be an issue, it is less of a concern. With the thick strip of amber (home) and red (away) on the side of the shorts, it will alleviate the issue further.

Gary, we have had this issue in the past.

 

Refs are instructed that no part of the kit can clash. Assistant referees will argue that they are not looking at the shirts for most decisions but at the shorts and socks. Sounds stupid I know but we had a few matches when in the Ryman where we were wearing away shirts with home shorts.

Totally agree. Common sense should have been used, when choosing the same coloured shorts for both kits!

We do have white shorts and socks which have been used many times in the past where there has been a clash with the home kit.
