We have this morning spoken with Neil and he has confirmed he's re-joined Bowers & Pitsea. Neil said his decision was because "He wanted regular first team football and not be a squad member"

 

Neil started 29 games for us last season and was sub in 7, he also won a POTM award

Yes TC, Neil is better than the ESL. At least no-one can accuse him of going to Bowers for more money, I guess he just wants to play every week when fit, regardless of the standard.

I thought Neil did well for us, considering he was played out of position for most of the season and it's a shame to see him go. I personally think that under our new management, he would've developed further but he obviously didn't and them's the choices players make.

I'm a bit disappointed he didn't give it a go under Brian but as has been said that's his choice so no problem with that. Hope he does well at Bowers.
