As we know, things are'nt great at Folkestone either:

Hopefully-not a precursor of things close to home.

I wonder if the likes of Dryden will remain with them-i guess if they do go into administration, the administrator will be endeavouring to dispose of him as an asset.

So is that what you would have liked Margate to have done a year ago CE (or in a weeks time) ?

Not my preferred course of action.

seems to me that KP has been fighting hard-and to his credit-to date-successfully-to avoid exactly that situation.

I just hope he can keep it going and win the final battle

If our situation was as critical as suggested, yes. There's no point staggering on, throwing good money after bad. Better to have a clean break than die a slow, lingering death.

What I will say is that our debt appears (if you believe the reports) to be considerably less than Folkestone's. They may well start next season on minus ten points so they are heading for the Kent League anyway. I really can't see any hope for them.

And regards an earlier point, anyone who follows the club should take an interest in what goes on behind the scenes - it has a direct influence on what happens on the pitch.

I take a great interest in what goes on behind the scenes and help out in whatever UNPAID capacity I can. Every little helps as the saying goes and maybe if more people did help the club out in times of trouble things may improve, who knows!

Always seems to be. So my bet is it will be this time and probably the next times too.
Seems to be that its some kind of policy to raise fears of the fans and maybe some extra money.
I cant beleive a town of this size could really lose its football club. But the sad thing is that it can probably never get better until it gets worse and that brings in new owners and maybe helps to create more interest.
