Well I was another one. I rarely (if ever) get caught out with scams like this; but to find that I was caught by the team I supported for 44 years and played for over a 3 year period is still upsetting.

Maybe one day we will get our bricks. The disappointing thing is that I would be happy to put

Do we know that there is not an existing 'register' of 'brickowners' which will emerge when there is actually something to build ?

I see no reason at this stage to think that our 'brick donations' are lost for good.

Maybe i am just naive

I also purchased a brick along with a replica as did two of my friends.

I'd hope that there is some kind of register and the club havent just decided to pocket the cash.

As mentioned in another post, once bitten...............

To be fair-have any of us actually asked the club ?

We have had the opportunity at various forums to ask that particular question-or indeed privately-so if we have not asked-its either because really we are not bothered ,or because we have faith that there will come a day when they are resurrected.

I see no reason not to retain the faith;and take solace in the fact, that at one stage, the small contribution was of some benefit to MFC

Maybe when the club realised that the shiny new stadium wasn't gonna spring from the ruins of the old one as quickly as they'd envisaged some reassurances or a full refund offer should have been forthcoming then.

Its the clubs duty once its taken the money to keep you informed, it wasn't a contribution as people were expecting something for it.

I too hope that it will be built one day but as others have said above "once bitten" its a question of trust for some i guess.

I doubt whether the club would still have a record who had bought bricks. It would probably be up to those who had bought one to prove they had.

In any case, a new ground is not gonna happen any time soon. A bit of metal terracing at the Coffin End (like the stands at the side but without the seats, obviously!) would cost

I have been told the club do have a register of brick owners, only time will tell if they ever get used in a new development though.

Thanks for the update Alan - I still have my 'brick' confirmation letter, so do have proof that I bought and paid for it in good faith - as we all did.
