The word 'Mong', if you ARE interested, derives from

 

Mongol,

 

hence Mongoloid, which is NOW a banned term for the terrible condition of Downs Syndrome.

 

Therefore, I would personally prefer this foul and derogiatory term to be used on these forums.

 

It is NOT however, a form of mental illness, but refers to children born with a slight genetic defect. A sad, but true fact.

 

Downs Syndrome children, are, for your information, most affectionate and amusing. AND, they ALWAYS speak their mind, so maybe we should have plenty of them on here.

funnily enough...I went back to mine a few months ago after nearly 35 years....went to the old pub.....one or two old geessas in there and loads of thirty suminks all havin' a night out........no one I knew.......just as well probably......
