It's all been said before of course, but it's testament to his incredible legacy how many thousands of tributes there have been on non-league forums up and down the UK today.

 

another's website is a large factor behind my involvement with Guildford City, without I wouldn't even have known they existed. In a little over two years it's gone from a passing interest, to an ever growing obsession, and that has involved regularly scouring Tony's website as my passion for non-league grew.

 

Thoughts and condolences to his family. Even though I never met him, you can tell from his commitment to the cause that he was a truly great man.

Have never met the man but his stature in the game is there for all to see. Im sure his family will miss him very much but his commitment to non league football was immense and we will struggle to find another like him.

 

He was recognised for his work when he recieved a lifetime achievement award at the Grassroots Football Exhibition in Birmingham at the weekend - richly deserved.
