According to Nonleague Dailly and the Hendon website, we've signed Sam Collins off them.

 

Any truth in this?

 

Apparently he lives on Canvey and used to play for MK Dons and Wivenhoe.

from what i understand Braintree and Maidenhead are also interested in his signature

I know one Canvey based club that have made an approach in the past though...

Dunno how firmly NLD put it, but we certainly didn't say he would be signing for Canvey, just that the club expected that to happen. It still may - who knows. Good luck to Sam wherever he ends up anyway - he should do well for himself if he keeps anything even remotely close to last season's form up.

He is definitely a decent player. Good work rate, passing range, and puts himself about with the tackles. Fingers crossed!

Spoke to Sam Collins today, his words are that he hasn't made his mind up yet. Said he plays left-back or left-midfield so we could really do with him in my eyes. It's not even July yet so early days, depends what else is on the table for him I suppose.
