A Message from the fans!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

With regards to the supporters,we have formed a supporters club and although we have not demanded a seat on the board we will push to at least have a voice at club committee meetings. These things will all be sorted out once we know who is taking the club over. With regards to admin, that is a question for the owners of the club, the fans were under the understanding we was in admin but have heard nothing since from the club

Agree with raver,on matchdays we are losing money 00with people simply giving up on waiting to be served. The bar staff do a good job but if theres only 2 serving they haven't got much of a chance. For gates of 400 plus we really need 4 people serving minimum, sometimes its been down to 2

Agree about the Bar staff numbers, but that obviously depends on the financial situation the club is in.

TBH I am of the firm view the more say the fans have in things like the Bar and Merchandise side the more the club will bring in financially...ie If everyone hates the new shirt there less likely to buy it, if you wait longer for a drink your less likely to buy one.

But the new owners have to be assured we are suggesting and not demanding.

With regards to the bar, which is obviously something of which money can be made, these would be my ideas to improve it.

I would recommend that the club is open all weekend,ie friday evening, all day and evening saturday, sunday lunchtimes till about 8 or 10.30 if busy.

Monday night for monday night football.

Maybe tuesdays and wednesdays for big games ie champions league,fa cup games etc

Thursday nights is usually training/capital league games.

One night a week could be set aside for supporters club and fans

I would like to see maybe a monthly quiz night as these seem to be a success

Also i think we should definatly get a darts board and pool table, plus fruit/quiz machines

A pool table would bring revenue into the club and plenty of people like playing darts as we already have a team and more people have expressed an interest in playing in it.

Sky tv is a must for any football club as the best matches are on here and people like going out for a beer and to watch the footy with friends.

The yeoman is the only pub in the town centre now which has sky tv,i reckon we could offer a "social club" membership to non supporters club/season ticket holders for people in the local area who may like to use our facilities.\like in the old days.

Apologies to all the fans.

It appears that according to Uncle Urchin on the Pub forum that i may of scared off 12 potential buyers due to the message on here. What was i thinking of by saying we would like to contribute ideas to how the club is run.Obviously any ideas by the fans would be overlooked by any prospective owners as is the norm, how dare we the fans of a football club who has now been in financial trouble twice in five years come up with ideas that could possibly benefit the club, and how dare we suggest we are important to the club,i am really sorry, what is the world coming to when fans make such suggestions.
