Explosive golf situation!!!

Whilst looking for someone's ball today, mine was removed from the course and another one put in its place, unbeknown to me I hasten to add.

 

I took a deep breath, swung my club and connected with the 'ball' which exploded into many pieces. Both my fellow golf 'pros' fell about laughing!

 

On the 17th tee, a certain Gazza took an eternity to hit a decent shot and decided that enough was enough and threw his driver away. Shame that it got stuck 20 feet up a tree!!!

1. How do you know your ball was replaced?

2. Are you sure it was not the force of your swing that made the ball explode?

3. Laughing? Really? Surely not.

 

As for the 17th tee..........I'd say it was probaly more like 25ft!

 

My guess is it will be up there for a good few years to come, Steve Backley would have been proud of a throw like that!

PS in the papers yesterday. Man attacks another golfer with a club! Now that's interesting reading.

With the football season over there's nothing like the sound of leather on willow...as you kick the golf ball out of the rough and it rebounds off a tree.
