Lovely to read all the close-season gossip,rumour and speculation on the prospects for our new management team. Think it shows how much everyone cares about the club and hopes and prays our board representatives have got it right this time. Time will tell,but if we can get it right, on and off the field this season, the new guys might (with everyones support) just do the business and get us promotion to the RPL. It won't be easy, but it is a realistic possibility, particularly if we get off to a flyer.

 

Can't believe good old George Borg would have the remotest interest now in managing our club. He has been there,done all that,doesn't need the hassle. He has nothing to prove. I am quite sure his only interest is helping our club achieve success in a coaching capacity. One thing for certain,he still has a lot to offer and will be made very welcome at Goldsdown Road.

Trust in Steve and Del. In my opinion, very good managers that created a excellent team spirit with players that wanted to win every game for the club, each other, the fans, and the managers etc. I recently had the pleasure of watching their Treble winning success a few years ago with my younger brother. The fitness in our team was fantastic too so I

The Edgware boys under Steve and Del scored a lot of late goals due to high levels of fitness. Im sure the Enfield squad will be happy with all the training when they feel as fit as a butchers dog on the field with 10 mins to go in a 1-1 game )))

If my fading memory serves me right, fitness was one of the keys for winning the ESL, be good to see a team that can keep going for the whole game, will Soopa Kev get a run out?

I must admit I was a bit puzzled, and dismayed, at the appointment (again) of joint managers. I can't think of any examples where it has worked, and their relationship with the Borg will be interesting.
