Only team in Romford that's ever been worth watching is the Romford Raiders ice hockey team.

I always remember a rather rough Raiders game when they played Stevenage in the play-offs with the first expulsions from the game coming inside the first 10 seconds!!

I wish that I could remeber going to see the Romford Bombers Speedway as I was taken to their opening meeting and a few others but I can't as I was far too young.

If Newing and Deanus have selected Borg as their coach then I have no problems. If, however, he has been 'suggested' to them by the club then there could be problems.

 

And yes, that Romford v Stevenage game was funny. Particularly given who the Stevenage player was and what he later did in a game at Whitley Bay.

Maybe Newing and Deanus wouldn't have had quite the experience that the board was looking for on their own.Maybe they became seriouss contenders for the job only AFTER being willing to have a 'suggested' experienced coach to work alongside them?

I understand another supporters meeting is being scheduled for during pre-season. I'm sure much will become clearer then.
