I take your point Big Ron. ALL team members should be totally committed to each other and the team, if they are not then divisions will start to occur and they wont be doing the best for each other. Let's hope next season's team can be totally united!

The season hasn't started and some of us are giving a player stick already. Let the lad train, get fit and prove the doubters wrong. His height is not a matter of concern. Che Given is one of the countries best keepers and not tall and Pat is no smaller than ScS. I heard SCS's attitude stank so maybe Pat had good reason to make that comment. I have heard of various people that SCS's attitude was that he was better than he actually was. Knowone likes a big head in the team and if playing second fiddle to a fellow player, as a keeper, you do deep down hope that he may have a bad game so that you get your chance. I should know!!!

It really sticks in my craw that someone who hardly went to any games last season should give others a lecture on being a good supporter.

 

Some of us did the mileage, did the hours last season to watch arguably our worst season for 20 years.

Well if that was aimed at me then you should realise that I made every game I could last season. I think my family have done there fair share in the past in supporting and maintaining the ground and I would have you know that both Leah and I helped many from MISA get the ground up and running for that first season back at Hartsdown Park spending much spare time up the ground. Leah was MISA secretary and had to resign after long hours and work commitments, myself, well I work shifts so the way things went last season meant I couldn't attend as many games as I wished I could have. That coupled with saving for a wedding and much work needed on the house meant that money and time was better spent around this place and not away travel.

obvious you have the ears and mouth to match your name??,how else could you have picked up on a comment which would have been said in jest to friends,every keeper in the county who is playing second fiddle to someone secretly waits and hopes for that person to make a mistake,how else can they get a game?.

believe this would have been the time when pat was on crutches

still without a signed contract,but still turning up for every game.

so lets compere his attitude to scs?,as PaulH has pointed out it was a well known fact there was a problem with his superior attitude,this boy openly condemed Southalls method of coaching,

22yrs of age and belived he new more than the legand,and this is the same boy that held MARGATE F.C to ramsom for most of last season,this same player would turn up at a game for his wages, and be on his way home befor half-time,now that is what i call having a attitude problem.

you are entitled to your opinion with regards to weather the players are any good, but you are out of order in highlighting comments made amongest friends.

Dear Lord, I picked up on the comment as it was said loudly in a busy clubhouse and not privately amongest friends.
I understand the desire to play for the club but comments like that are always likely to be misconstrued so probably best kept to oneself in order to avoid such misunderstanding.
I'd always found Pat to be a decent enough guy until this point and was disappointed with what i saw as disloyalty to the team (maybe i was wrong) and take your point on him attending games whilst injured.
Please don't mention my ears again as i'm quite sensitive about them!

As regards Pats comment at the bar it was said for all to hear and probably tongue in cheek, however I hope that the feeling behind the statement was meant as " Oh goody - an opening for me to shine " which if we ALL get behind the lads this coming season Im sure all our players young/old/new will do us credit.
