I had to make a trip into Slough on friday...it never stop amazing me just how much of a diffrent world it is to Windsor. It makes dedworth look stunning!!

An ad-lib response to a one-liner in a Mark Thomas show becomes headline news. Why? Because headlines like that sell papers, and that's how newspaper persons "earn" their salaries.

Just in case some fruitloops decide to take the "joke" further by putting up signs in Windsor, I suggest we (the responsible balanced-sense-of-humour citizens of Windsor) respond with some equally witty signs for Slough. For example, there are probably loads of "This way to Windsor Safari Park" signs still floating about somewhere. I would suggest "East Maidenhead" signs, but the good people of Slough don't deserve that. Nobody does (except people who live in West Windsor - sorry, Maidenskirt - of course)
