Reserves

Long time since i have spoken on here as the season has finished but i have been made aware of some news. Some of our reserves are considering going over to Rams Res now Robbie Summers and Weatherly are over there along with Oli. Players like Curtis Winnett, Dan Stokes, Elliot Payne & Olti...

It would be a shame to lose some of them maybe the reserves manager could have a word with them?

You get this in any situation - people move around and then their contacts go with them.

 

But what is happening to the existing Ramsgate reserves players then? Will they be stepping aside just to let others walk in?

 

That is assuming that whatever rumours going the rounds are true.

Let's hope they're as successful as all the other players who have switched over to the red side. I'm sure Jake Eastwood for one would recommend it....

Hi, been on hols for a few weeks, so just catching up with all the info.. If these players are "considering" their options during the closed season, fair enough.

If the info is correct I would be sorry to see Elliot or Olti Keki leave, as they have been part of the reserve set-up since it's new introduction. As for Dan Stokes he tried out at Deal at the beginning of last season and then returned to us.

Curtis Winnett has looked good in the few games he has played for the club but at the end of the day it's only been a few games. Looked like he would have made the Ryman Premier grade, as I've said in a previous post.

Noticed the thread on Oli Gray who imo would have had a tall order to get infront of Luke Wheatley, Curtis Robinson or Nick Treadwell as well as Dan Young and Louis Smith. So I'm not suprised he jumped ship!

I personnally am looking forward to watching the reserves play again next season but would hate to see these "entertainers" leave us as it would ruin my Saturdays and midweek games, when they play at home.

Yet if any of our reserves have an offer of 1st team football at other clubs who can blame them for trying? If I was in their shoes I'd probably give it a go and if they do I wish them the best of luck and hope to see them back at HP one day

Being made as we speak Harvey, feel I should have a heart to heart talk with Elliot and enlighten him as to the woes of going to Deadwood

Whilst some or many may go it opens the door for others who may be able to fill the gaps. Lets give Phil the credit he deserves and see what he can come up with in the next month or so.
