I once asked a BNP canvasser what his party would do about the immigrants in this country, both legal and illegal. He said they would sending the c**ts home. I then said does that include the Irish? To which he replied "Too f**king right", before wittering on about murderous IRA scum.

I just smiled and walked away.

I see Ricky Tomlinson is campaigning for a Socialist Labour Party, that might be an alternative to the mainstreams for an old socialist like me.

Ricky Tomlinson ex National Front of course

if every immigrant was sent home the country would come to a standstill, the BNP dont think of that of course simply because they dont think.

the BNP will rely on such simple minded people for their support, simple people who want simple answers.

Doesn't surprise me at all. They try and put a legitimate face on it, but their real agenda is hiding just beneath the surface.

This article makes quite interesting reading:

Ex-BNP Candidate Speaks Out

For me, this is very much a personal issue. My mum came to the UK at 17 from Trinidad, and has worked in the NHS for many years both in hospitals and now in the local health centre. She is now in her 50's, and has done her bit for this country and has integrated into the community without any problems bar the occasional racist comment across the years.

In the BNP's eyes, I am supposed to feel "un-British" because my skin is darker than the average man in the street, and my mum would be "repatriotised" with her country of birth - despite spending her life contributing to our country.

The thought that they could get any kind of power sickens me.

As heavy as this topic is for a Friday afternoon on the ESL forum it's certainly interesting.

Let's not get mistaken, the BNP are still and always will be I believe - the absolute racist bile filled lunatics from the NF days. They've not get even slightly better. They have no interest in genuine political issues and are more determined to fulfil their one basic want as a party. Something which Hitler would applaud no doubt.

People seem to think the BNP have modernised. The only thing they have progressed on is publically their leaders are slowly starting to be able to do a whole interview without saying the 'N' or 'P' word. Some failing at that anyway!

UKIP really aren't the way to go at all personally, shoddy policies as it is and their agenda's are clearly questionable. I don't know which way I'm going to vote but it's likely still going to be Labour. They've made mistakes obviously but are a victim of the climate as much as of all us in certain areas.

Oh, on a final note. I thought we were the Popular Peoples Front? No, he's over there. SPLITTER.

I agree with what people are saying about the BNP BUT as a democracy if people want to vote for them then that is their democratic right and we should appreciate that freedom of choice otherwise we will become like countries that are not democratic or don't have a mutiple party political system. Trying to prevent the BNP from standing/existing is no different from Nazism is it? I think the way the BNP candidate was prevented from taking Nick Griffin to the Palace is disgraceful and stinks of hypocrisy as it is exactly the same as Nazism and what it stands for.

Ironically in Havering where my sister lives, they have some BNP councillors and she has looked at recent policies implemented to benefit the family, children, local services etc and all of them were iniataed by the BNP. My brother in law is black before anyone thinks my sister is racist.

Politics stinks at the moment and until the whole system is overhauled I don't feel I have anyone to vote for. I would like a few more independents who stand up for the local people. The only good to come out of the expenses row is that things will hopefully change and people are at last interested in politics.

perhaps if the government actually closed the borders of this country so we actually knew who was in here then parties like the bnp would just remain as they were, insignificant and laughable, the fact of the matter is that although a certain level of immigration is good for any country, especially ours it is getting beyond a joke, especially in the big cities.

People come to this country, don't want to integrate, end up in large communities where extremeists can work their magic and hey presto you suddenly have a party like the BNP starting to have a say in local goverment.
