amerste
Not quite wrong, Aylesbury dominated the game until the dying last 15 when frustration set in because of lack of finishing from the strike force which is known can do the job. This is a learning point for this new set of players to this league. A comment overheard from the Hanwell manager was " not many teams will come here and get a point". Rhodes
Quote: Aylesbury United's first home match of the Zamaretto League Division One Midlands season against Rothwell Town has been postponed due to floodlight problems at Leighton Town. One of the floodlight pylons at the Ducks` new Bell Close home has collapsed, and will not be repairable before Thursday, meaning the club have little option but to postpone the game. The match will now be rearranged for a later date, which will be advised in due course. I wonder if anything can be read into the above, it does seem like a coincidence bearing in mind the problems Aylesbury United have had of late. If anybody can manage to read anything in to it it will be you. The rest of us will just see it for what it is - one of life's unfortunate incidents. It's not even their ground so how can they be responsible for it?
amerste
I wonder if these people would like to increase the bets with Rhoads now that we are nearing the half way mark. Rhoads wasn't far of in his prediction up to now.
Rhodes
OneKeown - Why are you and NeutralFan so convinced that Aylesbury FC won't run away with the Premier Division Championship this season, I await your answer with interest. Amerste - I posted this on 19 July, it wasn't a bad prediction was it
amerste
That was the meaning of my post and including Chalfont St Peter who are climbing the table after a rocky start plus Royston are up in the top bracket with game in hand, although a shock result for them on Tuesday against K.L.Tigers. For someone ( cant remember who ) say " none of them three will be there " was a bit of a rash bet.
Rhodes
I'll have a pint with you that none of those 3 win the league. Amerste - It was NeutralFan who, rather ridiculously, stated that neither Aylesbury, Royston or Chalfont St Peter would win the League this evening

Rhodes
Amerste - I thought that a couple of seasons ago when Gordon Boateng left Brimsdown Rovers in the lurch, I bet at the start of the 2007/2008 season that he would be gone by Christmas and a number of people, including NeutralFan, grabbed my arm out of it's socket however only Wader ever paid up knowitall

Rhodes
Keeps - That's a poor answer. Incidentally how are you coping so far with the travelling to and from Margate, I'll be interested to know what time you got back home from Sittingbourne tonight. I understand that Baby Keeps only left Bowers & Pitsea because Ricky Wiseman was first choice keeper however now he has been signed by Tony Faulkner at Ware Baby Keeps would have got his big chance at The Len Salmon Stadium

Rhodes
Keeps - Yes Wiseman played one game at Bowers but you didn't know he was leaving the Len Salmon Stadium until after Baby Keeps had gone to Margate. So did Baby Keeps play at Sittingbourne last night, you must have been cursing your luck that the game was played on what was the coldest night of the year. Nice to see now you are under a threat of ban if you mention SA, you have returned your attentions to BK........once again, he thanks you for your interest in his career. Did you think it was cold last night!? If i were you, id get down the quacks for a check up, as feeling the cold is the first sign of a few serious illnesses. Rhodes
Keeps - At this rate you will take Loosely's crown at avoiding a question so I repeat, did you know that Ricky Wiseman was leaving Bowers before Baby Keeps had gone to Margate or did you find out afterwards. Also what time did you get back home from Sittingbourne last night and did Baby Keeps get a game.

Rhodes
Keeps - You remind me very much of beleaguered Loosely as when the going gets tough the 'tough' go away and hide in a cowardly fashion. I'm sorry to sound like Jeremy Paxman interviewing Michael Howard but did you know that Ricky Wiseman was leaving Bowers before Baby Keeps had gone to Margate or did you, to your horror, find out afterwards. Also what time did you get back home from Sittingbourne last night, I bet it was gone midnight, and did Baby Keeps get a game.
