NeutralFan
Want to make the bet just on Aylesbury FC then if you're so confident?
Jonno
I think including Royston in that bet is ridiculous Cliff. I cant see them clincing back to back titles. There is a big difference these days between Div 1 and the Prem and I think that the Garden Walk outfit would be happy with mid table this coming season and then perhaps looking to launch a bid to climb into the the top 5 the following season. Either that or they'll get relegated......
Rhodes
Jonno - I beg to differ, Kentish Town would have run away with the Premier Division Championship last season had the Manager not medalled in team affairs and allowed Clement Temile and Hector Varela to go about their business, look at the way they started the campaign with 6-4 and 6-2 wins at Broxbourne and Cockfosters respectively and that was without Lee Scott. If Royston hit the ground running and Craig Hammond carries on from where he left off in May then they could run Aylesbury FC very close.

NeutralFan
If they come out with 8 or 9 points they've done well
onekeown
Finishing mid table in step 4 is no guide to winning the SSMFL Prem. Originally Posted By: Rhodes OneKeown - I rest my case

OneKeown - Actually I beg to differ, Hillingdon Borough, Hanwell Town and Beaconsfield SYCOB have all been yo yo Clubs of late between the Southern Leage Division 1 South & West and the SSML Premier Division. A lower end Step 4 Club, such as those three, will always do well at Step 5 so surely a mid table Step 4 Club would walk the SSML Premier Division, lets see how well Hillingdon Borough and Dunstable Town do this season. Rhodes
I see that Aylesbury FC have signed the prolific James Faulkner from Aylesbury United who used to be on Wycombe Wanderers books: http://www.bucksherald.co.uk/sport/Aylesbury-FC-sign-Faulkner.5509119.jp
Rhodes
I see that Aylesbury FC are all over the Non League Today Website like a rash again today, poor Hanwell Town must be wondering what is in store for them at Haywood Way on Saturday afternoon: http://www.nonleaguedaily.com/news/index.php?&newsmode=FULL&nid=59646
amerste
James Faulkner was signed from Oxford City, he has played for Aylesbury Utd before that.
Guvnor No1
To be honest they may be playing Hanwell at the right time, lots of players away, Holidays, weddings and Honeymoons. wont see the best of Hanwell till October i guess.
Rhodes
I don't know whether this will have a knock on effect on Aylesbury FC but I see that Marin Stone has left Aylesbury United in mysterious circumstances just before the start of the season: http://www.nonleaguedaily.com/news/index.php?&newsmode=FULL&nid=59875
amerste
I cant see what the knock on could be, Martin Stone has had no connection to AFC.
Rhodes
Amerste - Well you never know, it's a funny old game isn't it. I only said that it might possibly have a knock on effect, I didn't say that it would.
amerste
As I say I cant see the knock on as Martin was with Chalfont Wasps previous to Aylesbury Utd, taking with him players from his old club, now that could be a knock on. Will players return to the old club?

amerste
Whats the thoughts of Dean Brennan signing for Aylesbury FC? Looked a little out of condition last night, perhaps lack of training.

Rhodes
Jacksparrow - Yes I hold my hands up but it would appear from this brief report that Aylesbury were the better team on Saturday, they certainly made amends last night though didn't they: http://www.bucksherald.co.uk/sport/Aylesbury-FC-start-league-campaign.5536784.jp
