I've added a few more from the 2-2 draw at Telford. I'm pretty certain we didn't clinch the title that day as there are no 'celebration' shots.

 

Our next game was at home to Wealdstone - a 1-0 win - at which I didn't take any pictures. After that was a game at Bath when the title was definitely already won - we 'rested' several regulars due to excessive celebration on their part.

 

Can anyone recall whether the Wealdstone win clinched the title or whether it was clinched by other results when we weren't playing?

The Wealdstone win clinched it Thomas; don't think we could have won it at Telford, which is just as well, as we didn't play well!

From memory,it was definitely the win over Wealdstone that secured the title.

I've now completed the 1985/86 season, including presentation of various trophies. If I've got any of the details wrong please let me know (particularly the youth team award...)

I've just found a box of slides from a game between the Supporters and the Committee in, I think, 1984.

I've started a new set on Flickr, covering the start. of 1986/87 onwards. I've moved some pictures across from the original set and added a few new ones.

 

With the departures of Ashford, Barrett and Richards that summer it seems the obvious break point.
