now two directors have left The Stones. Sign of the times I think regarding money etc. Cut backs, cut backs with the majority of teams in the RPL for the next season and even lower down!

yes be great to get Pinns and Jay back even for one season.... be a great blend with the young lads to get that 'on field' experance which was lacking last season and as they started to blend and compete with the other teams the games run out which left us struggling and hence the 4th from bottom position.

Snippet from Maidstone

Hume was able to confirm six players from the existing squad have put pen to paper on new deals at the club. Defenders Ashley Ulph, Nathan Paul and Roland Edge were the first to sign new contracts. Midfielders Jay Saunders and James Peacock followed shortly after.

Finally former Margate striker James Pinnock, who finished top scorer with 12 goals last season has committed to a second season with the club.

Though it would be great to have seen Jay and Pinns back I still firmly believe me are doing the right thing in sticking with youngsters who I am sure will come good this coming season.

yes true bluegate think last season was a real big learning curve for the youngers and towards the end of the season the team matching the teams well above us in the league and with a better start would have finished mid table...ish. Yes apart from the Staines disaster it was looking good.

Don't forget that most of the players have one years extra experience themselves;together with an element of continuity from this season which will help early season;and i have every confidence that TY will get some additional quality /experience as well.

We have one/arguably two new players anyway.Lewis-plus you may say the corbishley is a new player having missed so much of last season.

As importantly, TY will also have one years additional RYMAN experience;and know the other teams/grounds/ryman tactics that much better.

Not expecting miracles-mid table will do ;plus a couple of good cup runs for a change
