Although it must be disheartening for the Fisher fans, i think they are the only reprieve (at the moment) for us staying in the Prem. So it is with tongue in cheek and maybe a little nasty thinking that they fail to impress the Taxman with their offer.... Although it can still be said WE ARENT out of the woods yet on that situation. Remember I said Tongue in cheek on my last statement........ whistle

if only the FA who are SUPPOSED to run football in this country would wake up.They have passed the financial purse strings to the Premier League and should take control back. The TV money should be distributed more evenly throughout the football pyramid and not paid to grossly overpaid prima donnas many of whom are more cheats and mercenaries than spotsmen and set such a bad example to young footballers. Then perhaps all of non league clubs could survive.

Best thing we could do is to draw all the money in and share it out evenly.

Then when we've spent ours draw it all back in and share it out again.

This must be the worst season ever for clubs in trouble. League two have a problem with Darlington possibly folding. Will they keep Chester up who are already in administration and looking at 10 point deduction or even Luton who had a 30 point deduction? Its about time the Football League and Premier league woke up to what is going on and start redistributing some of the millions they are making.

I don't buy this. Do any of the companies we all work for re-distribute their revenue between smaller companies? What happens to companies of any size that continue to spend more than they sell?

Like any fan, I don't want to see my club go under, but I don't really understand why we all expect something different to happen to football clubs when they over-stretch themselves.

Small local businesses have been swallowed up or out-competed by biger companies for ever. Why should we expect football to be different?

Because in sport you need opposition to play against. Following your logic the big clubs would just get bigger and bigger eating up all the little clubs until one day there is just one megaclub left!

In US sports they distribute the money between all the teams and they have the draft system.

I spend all week in the rat race, I don't want to be reminded of it at the weekend. Football should be more about escapism and theatre than about business.

I hear what you say and I doubt many would disagree, but then where does it get it's funding from? Not only that, when things go wrong, it's other businesses and all of us as tax payers that end up footing the bill - just like when other businesses fold.

I don't have an answer, by the way, I'm just sharing an observation.

the clubs that finish in the top 4 of the prem should recieve no moneys for where they finish as they will make millions from the champions league anyway . I don`t no what you get for coming 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th but it should be split down the leagues or put into a pot for teams that are in trouble to use as when is needed .

When one player is given a weekly wage of an amount that would save a smaller club you realise that professional football is rotten to the core.

Premiership go on about the importance of getting into Europe yet when they do we see Spurs Aston Villa and Portsmouth all field weaken teams and get beaten.

My older son goes on about how the modern footballer is more athletic and skillful than those in the 70s and before. I disagree with him and feel the players were better then as they played with a proper football not a balloon and the rules allowed contact between players so they fought to get the ball We did not have todays standard of the slightest touch and go crashing to the ground clutching their head, knee, testicles or whatever to cheat a free kick

well said blueblood , everyteam wants to be in the top flight of football but being in it can ruin you .

With the likes of Stoke , Bolton , Portsmouth , Wigan , Fulham , etc, the prem would be a bore to the core .

Non league any day .
